Circling Her Light in the Moonless Night

October 9, 2018 @ 8:30 pm

Calling all Austin women (and women-identified women)! Come join a candle lit 1-mile walk around Lady Bird Lake during the night of this month’s New Moon. We walk to bear kind witness to darkness and chaos. Solace, solidarity and beauty are our intentions.

Here is a vision that needs (wo)manifesting! This a sacred action entitled: CIRCLING HER LIGHT IN THE MOONLESS NIGHT. It’s a gathering of Austin women (and women identified women) walking in silence and creating a ring of candle-lit light around Lady Bird Lake during the night of this month’s New Moon.

This walk is in direct response to the chaos and vileness that has ensued since this new administration took office. The virulent denigration of our sacred connection to our selves, one another and the Earth Herself has left us all longing for solace and spaces to express our grief and solidarity. Lady Bird Lake so represents the soul of our city and circling our light around Her feels very right at this moment.

We’re getting close! Here’s the nitty-gritty information you will
